About

October is the quiet secret up here — gold aspens, empty trails, and two fireplaces going by 6pm. Remodeled 2BR on the still east end of Big Bear City, sleeps 6. Free EV charging in the driveway, three decks for watching the color turn, 500Mbps fiber, full kitchen, laundry. Fenced backyard under the pines. Pets welcome. Erwin Lake Park is a short walk. 15 min to the village and lake. Self check-in, Superhost who replies within the hour.

Good to know

Two indoor fireplaces — one downstairs, one upstairs — and fall is when they earn their keep. Extra space heaters too. A level lot with decks front and back, and on each level — good places to watch the color turn. An EV charger is on the side of the home, open for guests. The backyard is fenced, with a picnic table for clear nights. Sleeps 6 in 2 bedrooms: king in one, queen plus a twin day bed with twin trundle in the other. 1.5 baths, walk-in shower, full kitchen, laundry.

Other Details to Note

EV charging is a NEMA outlet, not Level 2 — bring your own cable. Fiber runs 500Mbps up and down. Fall nights drop into the 30s and 40s by mid-October. Both fireplaces work; extra space heaters are in the closet. Oktoberfest runs weekends Sept 12-Nov 8 in Big Bear Lake. A queen air mattress is in the upstairs closet if you need an extra bed. The refrigerator door does not open all the way — mountain weather shifted the wall. It still opens far enough for normal use and is shown in the photos.

I liked the soft beds and the decent amount of space inside the cabin. Large kitchen sink was a plus The upstairs bathroom had one bulb that flickered at times.

The property is beautiful! Every was well stocked, from the bedrooms with extra sheets and pillows to the kitchen with plates, cups and even seasonings. Anything you might need is there. I did not take my pet but there are even water/food bowls provided as well as doggy bags. N/A
